The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:
Reporting to the Head of Architectural Services, you will collaborate with external clients and vendors, as well as internal Service Account Managers and Business Development Managers. Your role will involve delivering Customer Strategy sessions to help customers develop their IT Strategy and Roadmap.
Your main duties will include
Deliver written technical solutions with suggested pricing for customers as initiated by Service Account Management and Business Development teams. Support presales efforts by delivering proposals, RFP/RFI responses, business case development, and Statements of Work (SoW), which include overviews, scope, duration, activities, assumptions, deliverables, resources, risk mitigation, terms and conditions, pricing, and executive summaries. Work with the Chief Technology Officer to continuously improve standards, methodologies, and maintain awareness of industry and technology developments. Pre-qualify and support wider sales and delivery efforts for large and complex sales initiatives, including holistic IT optimisation, consolidation, migration, transformation, and lifecycle solutions for existing and potential customers. Conduct strategy sessions with Service Account Managers to help customers develop their IT strategy and roadmap. Lead the technical design to delivery phases, resolving issues as they arise during project delivery. Lead the delivery of high-quality consulting work through workshops, presentations, or solutions architecture designs. Drive maturity improvements in customers’ cloud estates covering people, processes, and technology, acting as a key decision-maker within their governance framework. Enhance the cloud architect community by speaking at internal and external events and identifying opportunities for new engagements.What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
An enterprise architect with experience in End-User Computing (EUC), you should be comfortable engaging at all levels of the customer’s business, from building relationships with senior/C-level leadership to guiding DevOps and developers on building solutions.
You will hold extensive experience creating platforms on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure along with demonstrable experience in designing and implementing cloud-native systems and/or migrating existing systems to the cloud is required. Additionally, expertise in EUC technologies and solutions is a must.
You will revel in leading architectural engagements, taking ownership of the successful delivery of customer value within consulting engagements. Acting as a thought leader, you can concisely and articulately present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven experience in architecting systems built on public cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/O365). Excellent understanding of fundamental concepts such as platform availability, networking, security, authentication, virtualization, and WAN technologies. Ability to produce high-quality and accurate architectural and design documentation. Capability to deliver customer presentations in a professional and consultative manner. Skill in managing a busy workload with hard deadlines within a dynamic team environment. Strong knowledge and experience in IT solutions such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), data analytics, cybersecurity, networking, and support services. Proven track record in delivering technical professional services engagements to customers. The role requires no hands-on project or delivery work. However, given the highly technical environments in which we operate, a solid understanding of software engineering and cloud technology, its benefits and challenges, is required.What can we offer you?
