The Opportunity:

ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Linux DevOps Engineer to join our London team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, testing, and maintaining the Kubernetes clusters, storage systems, network configurations, and development tools that support our applications and services in the financial sector. You will also automate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

This is ahybridrole with a strong preference for candidates to be based in the London area.

What you will do:

Build Infrastructure, configure, and manage core Linux infrastructure on bare metal Basic understanding of security best practices Disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution Administration of K Clusters Setting up KS Cluster on a VMware ESXi and Vcenter using kubeadm Testing KS Master node Install Calico Cluster Strong understand and background working with Ubunto Canonical Integrate Grafana and prometheus with the KS clusters Testing and performance tuning of Kubernetes Install, troubleshooting, and support of Calico Enterprise Storage Administration - Adding and removing volumes in Kubernetes (Netapp Trident storage) Adding and removing volumes in Kubernetes (Netapp Trident storage) Strong Networking Administration, excellent in Linux networking and BGP functionalities. Hands on experience in setting up traefik ingress controller

Who you are:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience At least years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a similar role in a large enterprise environment, preferably in the financial services, banking, or trading industry Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux Deep expertise with Linux running on premise host (avoid cloud only expertise) Experience with VMware, NetApp, Calico, Grafana, Prometheus, and traefik Proficiency in scripting languages such as bash, python, or perl Familiarity with development tools such as Helm, Ansible, and Terraform Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to learn new technologies and tools Linux certifications a strong plus: Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE) Linux+ CompTIA Certification LPIC – Linux Administrator Linux Redhat / Ubunto / Debain
