Client – Partnered with a global consulting partner that is recognised by SAP as a trusted implementation partner.

Role – This is a great opportunity for an experienced Scada Tester to join a large ongoing Utilities programme where you will be responsible for the security, efficiency, and performance of criticalpower infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

• 5+ years as a SCADA tester.
• Test and validate SCADA systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Ensure system reliability, stability, and cybersecurity for power grid operations.
• Analyze and troubleshoot communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3) and data flow in real-time systems.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans for power system automation and control.
• Work closely with power engineers to address system vulnerabilities and optimize performance.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

• Proven experience with SCADA systems in power utilities or energy sectors.
• Deep knowledge of power distribution networks and reliability requirements.
• Expertise in testing control systems, automation, and industrial communication protocols.
• Familiarity with power grid cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Scripting or coding knowledge (Python, VB, etc.) for automation of test cases is a plus.
• Consulting background.
• Strong communication skills (oral & written)
• Rights to work in the UK is must (No Sponsorship available)
