Our blockchain team is dedicated to the conception, design and implementation of a best-in-class software platform providing our users with the ability to work seamlessly within this new and highly technical space. We are currently seeking new colleagues across a variety of roles who are passionate about bringing this world-changing technology into mainstream use via the development of high-quality tools and services aimed at the wider commercial market.

Previous blockchain experience, while desirable, is not required and so this is an excellent opportunity for anybody who has an interest in growing their skills and experience in this novel and fast-moving field.

Your mission

As a Principal Architect, you will be at the forefront of our technological advancements, driving the architectural vision and strategy for our blockchain products and solutions. You will lead a team of talented engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge blockchain applications. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our systems.

As a Principal Architect, you will have strong technical skills and extensive experience in Crypto/financial products and systems, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be able to mentor and coach other team members, foster a culture of trust and collaboration and interact with other teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

What you'll do

Architectural Leadership: Define and lead the architectural vision and strategy for our systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements.Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical expertise in blockchain technologies, distributed systems and financial systems.System Design: Design and oversee the implementation of highly scalable, secure, and efficient blockchain systems and applications.Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of architects/engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, business and operations, to align technical solutions with business objectives. This includes communication/collaboration with senior stakeholders, clients and C-suite executives.Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and incorporating best practices into our solutions.Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our systems.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, technical specifications, and best practices.

What you'll bring

Extensive experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architectural role. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed software systems. Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) and modern development frameworks. In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of security architecture, security principles, frameworks, standards and industry best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams including senior stakeholders, clients and C-suite executives. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
