Your day-to-day

As a Software Engineer on our Platform/Infrastructure team you will be contributing to the development of cloud infrastructure tooling. You will be working with our engineering teams to help them adopt these tools. You will be contributing to executing our goal of “everything as code” and GitOps.

You have the proven technical background and enjoy working with high performance teams. You have an eagerness to learn and pick new technologies as required. You understand the benefits that CI/CD brings to modern architecture and can empathize with the challenges of engineers not having one. You believe in the model of self-service and automation. You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and are comfortable with changes in direction. 

Experience

Demonstrated experience in facilitating the adoption of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices within software development life cycles (SDLC), aiding developers in implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines.

Proven understanding of the significance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and active involvement in contributing to IaC initiatives, ensuring infrastructure provisioning and management is automated and version-controlled.

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, alongside proficiency in orchestration tools like Kubernetes, enabling the deployment and management of containerized applications at scale.

Knowledgeable in developing and utilizing observability systems for comprehensive telemetry, tracing, and anomaly detection, ensuring robust monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities across distributed systems.

Proficiency in at least one programming language and a keen willingness to engage with and work in diverse programming languages, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enable effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, articulate technical concepts clearly, and facilitate productive discussions and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Desirable

Experience with some of the following technologies would be beneficial for this role;

GoLang, Python, Kubernetes, Harness, Terraform, Cloudbees
