Arcas Technology is currently seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join a leading production company based in Luton, dedicated to the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of its IT infrastructure. This permanent role will involve hands-on technical support and system optimisation to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring timely issue resolution in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across the organisation.
  
  
• Assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Manage user access, resolve system issues, and collaborate with ERP vendors to implement updates, ensuring seamless ERP platform operation.
  
  
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and updates of system software and applications. Manage user accounts, access controls, and system security settings. Monitor and maintain the stability, scalability, and performance of servers, desktops, and other IT systems.
  
  
• Support the management of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Optimise network traffic, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure data security through secure network protocols.
  
  
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation on system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures. Record changes to IT processes and system infrastructure for auditing and future reference.
  
  
• Participate in IT projects, such as system migrations, hardware upgrades, and network expansions. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
  
  
• Ensure all IT systems and processes comply with standards and regulations, such as GDPR and ISO. Stay informed about emerging technologies and continuously improve skills by applying industry best practices.
  
  Key Skills:
  
  
• Experience with ERP systems
  
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environment
  
  
• Strong understanding of Windows operating environments
  
  
• Proficiency with VMware technology
  
  
• Solid understanding of SQL databases
  
  
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
  
  
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
