As our Head of IT & Security, you're not just managing technology; you're empowering our teams to achieve the extraordinary. You'll be the architect of our future, steering our IT and Security vision, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring our technology infrastructure propels us to new heights. This is a pivotal role for a visionary leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where innovation is celebrated. You will be working closely with our People, Legal, Finance, and leadership team to align technology with business goals.
Responsibilities:
- You'll be a Strategic Visionary:Crafting and execute an IT strategy that is centred around maturing our IT operations and security infrastructure. This strategy should prioritise scalability, agility, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with our ambitious business objectives.
- Be an Inspirational Leader:Fostering an environment of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a customer-centric mindset within the IT team.
- Be a Technology Guardian & Enableroverseeing design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust, secure, and user-friendly IT infrastructure that delivers a fantastic employee experience.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance through effective data management practices, turning data into actionable insights and trackable reporting that drive informed decision-making and mitigate risk.
- You will optimise Investments:Developing and managing the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and maximising ROI while prioritising initiatives which help amplify Motorways teams
- Build and nurture strong relationships with technology vendors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring optimal service levels that enhance the employee experience.
- Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and systems, reshaping work practices and creating new possibilities for teams.
- Deliver Integrated Excellence: Leading cross-functional projects, seamlessly integrating technology solutions with business strategies. Promote innovation, enhance efficiency, and ensure smooth collaboration between teams. Align IT initiatives with organisational goals, prioritise user experience, and minimise disruptions.
Requirements
- Proven track record in leading IT and Security teams in a high-growth, technology-driven environment with a focus on operational maturity and employee satisfaction.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, cybersecurity, end-user computing, data management, and IT service management best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a customer-centric IT team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, translating vision into reality while prioritising employee needs.
- A passion for technology and a relentless drive to innovate and improve the employee experience.
