NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.

We are seeking an experiencedCyber Security Analystwho will be responsible for ensuring that the confidentiality, availability and integrity of NHS Supply Chain’s information and systems are protected. Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager, they will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cyber operations at NHS Supply Chain as we onboard a new managed service provider (MSP). Working alongside the MSP to ensure systems are monitored and configured securely, and security events and incidents are escalated and mitigated as per response plans. They will work closely with colleagues in IT and Data Protection; however, they will also need to engage effectively across the business to ensure a consistent approach to cyber security.

Every day you will … 

Coordinate and triage activity across several platforms (inc. ITSM, user reporting ,Microsoft tooling) to ensure an appropriate and effective response to a security event. Develop and refine Cyber operating procedures. Support Incident Management during active incidents or rehearsals. Develop and maintain accurate incident logs to ensure an adequate audit trail on response activity. Assess security risks and vulnerabilities, whilst supporting on threat hunting and security analytics. Support the development of policies, processes, and training programmes with SME knowledge of known cyber threats. Provide support and guidance in the configuration of security systems and applications. Contribute and present to various stakeholders about emerging threats to upskill and raise awareness across business units.
