This position is remote within the UK or EU ONLY.
We are seeking a CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) Specialist to take on the responsiblity of improving website and landing page performance to drive more conversions from online traffic, specifically within the consumer finance industry sector.
Your primary goal will be to optimise user experience, enhance website usability, and implement A/B testing strategies to increase lead generation, sales, and customer acquisition for financial products such as mortgages, loans, and pensions.
You will work closely with a paid media team to ensure data-driven decisions are applied to conversion strategies, utilising web analytics and behavioural insights to refine the digital journey and maximise conversion rates.
Tasks
- Conduct thorough audits of website and landing page performance, identifying key opportunities for conversion rate improvements in consumer finance-related products such as loans, mortgages, and credit services.
- Design, implement and analyse A/B and multivariate tests to refine page layouts, content structure, calls-to-action (CTAs), and other elements critical to boosting conversion rates.
- Collaborate with Design, Paid Media, Development, and Content teams to implement data-driven CRO strategies that enhance user experience and drive key financial metrics such as leads, sales, and customer acquisition.
- Use analytics platforms like VWO, Clarity, and LookerStudio to track user behaviour, heatmaps, and other metrics, translating these insights into actionable optimisation tactics.
- Evaluate consumer journeys specific to financial products and services, ensuring that all touchpoints are streamlined for ease of use and align with best practices in conversion optimisation.
- Regularly monitor and report on the performance of tests, tracking key metrics like bounce rates, session durations, form completion rates, and conversion funnels to assess success and make iterative improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial sector regulations and data privacy laws, including FCA guidelines, throughout all CRO activities.
Requirements
- Proven expertise as a CRO Specialist, with a strong track record of improving website and landing page conversions, ideally within the financial services sector.
- Expertise in CRO tools and technologies such as VWO, Clarity, and other similar platforms, combined with advanced knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, LookerStudio).
- Expertise in multi-step form builders and CRMs such as HeyFlow and WebFlow.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, customer journey mapping, and the specific challenges of optimising user experience in the consumer finance industry.
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies, multivariate testing, and test result analysis, particularly with the aim of driving measurable improvements in lead generation for financial products.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial sector, ensuring that all CRO activities meet legal and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with experience in JS is beneficial.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Analytics, or a related field is preferred, with specialised knowledge of financial products being highly advantageous.
