Job Description

Wavestone UK are seeking to hire a Business Advisory – Banking Industry Leader.

Becoming part of the Business Advisory- Financial Services team will present new opportunities for you to make a positive impact as we embark on securing major international accounts to support our growth in international markets. This will mean working with our FTSE100 clients on a wide range of advisory projects, bringing deep business and technology expertise to help address opportunities and challenges across their organisations. 

Your role as a Partner with extensive experience working in the Banking field means being a key player to lead and drive the development of the Financial Services practice in terms of: 

Industry Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrate in-depth expertise in the Financial Services sector to support the development of service propositions, drive sales, and ensure successful project delivery. Partners must also possess a strong knowledge of key industry players, products, processes and systems.
Business Development: Play a pivotal role in Wavestone’s business by driving complex business proposals and contributing significantly to account growth. Leverage market insights and experience to identify and target key opportunities and clients.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level key clients in the banking and technology sector to position Wavestone as the preferred provider of relevant services. 
Engagement Leadership: Oversee our most complex client projects to deliver maximum value for the client across the Wealth & Asset Management or Banking sectors. 

Qualifications

To be considered for this role: 

Solid foundations in consulting skills with significant experience in external client-facing consulting or equivalent roles within the banking sector

Proven track record of selling consulting services (account planning, pitching to clients, proposals, value proposition development) 

Solid network of contacts within Financial Services

Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization, experience in managing and leading teams, developing and coaching the wider consulting team

Proven background leading Transformation Programmes and strong acumen enhancing advisory credibility 

Comprehensive knowledge on the following topics in the Banking arena: 

M&A support and execution within the sector; 

High street banks, Barclays, HSBC, LBG, NatWest and Santander; 

Operational improvement, deployments of automation and AI, outsourcing and off-shoring; 

End to end lifecycle of technology vendor strategy through to implementation, in particular core banking solutions; and 

Data strategy, operating model development and implementation within the sector.

Travel and Location 

Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office on a full-time basis but are required to commute to the office /client site, whenever necessary. Wavestone UK office is in the heart of the city of London.

Note: Mandatory 2-3 days per week in Wavestone office / client site during probation
