An Account Director in the practice will play a vital role across the development of our clients, people, and products. The candidate will support the development and growth of our global ESG and Sustainable Business practice, with a particular focus on our clients operating in the UK. This role requires relevant experience of supporting delivery of c-suite level client engagements alongside other team members across a variety of industries, and ultimately contribute to the overall performance and impact of the firm.
Responsibilities
• Apply knowledge of the latest financial and social value best practices.
• Support the delivery of client engagement workstreams which generally includes research, benchmarking, issue analysis, and the development and delivery of advice on ESG strategy, leadership and impact campaigns, and crisis response.
• Support pitch preparation and business development opportunities.
• Drive impact with clients by anticipating their needs and delivering superior results as part of high performing teams.
• Support the development of new approaches, ways of working, and tools on client workstreams.
• Help build relationships across a diverse network of relevant external social value stakeholders from the public and private sectors.
• Engage and collaborate with colleagues across the firm at all levels to bring different expertise, thinking and perspectives.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Relevant work experience preferably in a consulting firm, NGO, strategic communications agency with a similar focus, and/or related in-house corporate function.
• Experience working with and briefing company c-suite and executive leadership.
• Proven track record of supporting business development efforts (i.e., proposal development) and practice development and growth.
• Experience supporting the development of new research methods and ways of working.
• Experience mentoring junior practitioners.
• Strong writing and presenting skills.
• Learning mindset, curiosity, creative problem solving, and the ability to think strategically and critically.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail with a client service-orientation.
• Ability to operate in fast paced, high-performance, client service environment with high emotional intelligence and a collaborative spirit.
