3rd Line Engineer

Main Responsibilities for the successful 3rd Line Engineer:

  • Provide technical lead services on project work such as Microsoft 365 migration, server installation, hardware/network refreshes

  • Consult with clients and team members to design solutions.

  • Work with our clients to arrange site visits, downtime windows and maintenance schedules.

  • Implementation of solutions for clients on both small works and projects including configure and installation of equipment.

  • Ensure day to day service delivery is in line with our working policies, operating procedures and ISO standards.

  • Taking ownership of escalated issues from other Support colleagues, following through to completion.

  • Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations and effective service.

  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

  • Follow & Adhere to the requirements of Information Security Management System Policies & Procedures.

    Main requirements for the successful 3rd Line Engineer:

  • Experience gained working in a 2nd or 3rd Line IT Support role, either in an IT department as part of a wider organisation or as part of an MSP (external managed service provider)

  • Understanding of and hands on experience with networking technologies and their associated concepts such as VLANs/LAN/WAN/WiFi/DHCP/DNS.

  • Exposure & understanding of the use & benefit of RMM solutions in the automation of machine maintenance and remote fixes.

  • Experience gained working with Microsoft Windows and Server Support, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.

  • Creative with a positive outlook to new challenges and change

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly approach

  • Full UK driving licence

    What we offer to the successful 3rd Line Engineer:

  • Negotiable Salary £30,000-£40,000 per annum.

  • Monday to Friday ( office-based role)
