Salary: Grade 3, £17,934 - £18,503 per annum. £12.85 - £13.26 per hour

31.25 hours per week, term time plus 1 week working 39 weeks per year

The Governing Body of St. George’s Central CE Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a permanent, highly motivated, Level 2 Teaching Assistant.

We are seeking candidates who are creative, inspiring and can capture the interests of our children within whole class, small group or 1-1 settings.

The Governing Body welcomes applications from candidates who have:

  • A love of learning and the ability to encourage, enthuse, motivate and inspire our children.
  • The ability to work as part of a team in collaboration with the class teacher and other staff.
  • Commitment to the development of supportive relationships between home, school and outside agencies and be an effective communicator with all members of the school community.
  • Skills to contribute to a range of teaching, learning and pastoral activities.
  • The necessary skills to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils’ progress.
  • High expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour and a clear vision of excellence in the classroom.
  • The ability to work flexibly using own initiative.
  • Commitment to school improvement and the aims, purpose & Christian ethos of our Church of England school.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to ensuring children are safe and well at all times.
  • A nurturing nature.
