We’re partnering with a stunning country house hotel nestled in the Cotswolds, seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading their talented kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef with hotel experience to step into a senior role within a refined, fast-paced environment that blends banqueting excellence with elevated restaurant dining.

£38,610 per annum plus £3,000 service charge


Paid overtime
Working with a passionate and professional brigade in a luxury setting
Cooking for 50–60 covers per service in the restaurant and banqueting for up to 120 guests

Responsibilities as the Sous Chef…

Supporting the Head Chef in managing the daily operations of the kitchen


Overseeing restaurant service, banqueting and events to ensure exceptional quality and presentation
Leading and motivating the team to deliver consistent high standards
Assisting with menu creation, stock management and maintaining GP targets
Upholding food safety, hygiene and compliance across all sections

We’re looking for someone who…

Has proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel environment


Is confident working across multiple outlets, including restaurant, banqueting and events
Brings creativity, organisation and a calm, hands-on approach
Takes pride in mentoring and inspiring junior chefs
Thrives under pressure while maintaining impeccable standards
