What you will enjoy doing

  • This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a collaborative approach to ensure the highest standards of safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality in which your expertise and teamwork will shape a better future for our employees, communities, and our planet
  • As a key part of this role, you will develop and integrate health and safety policies and practices across the business whilst provide advice and support to managers and employees on all SHEQ matters
  • You will work closely with our managers to identify and deliver training to enhance the knowledge and skills of our people
  • This role gives you hands on experience, as you will perform and support site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure policies and regulations are followed and identified actions are completed
  • You will take a dynamic, personal, and nurtured approach in building ongoing relationships and driving discussions across the organisation on SHEQ policies, practices, and performance
  • In addition, you will get the chance to shape the way we do things by driving continuous improvements and leading exciting initiatives, all with the goal of fostering our safety culture
  • You will collaborate with others to share learnings and best practices, as well as actively participate in initiatives to improve our overall SHEQ performance
  • And lastly, this role gives you the opportunity to travel across our different sites, meet diverse teams and experience a variety of work environments

What makes you great

  • You have a level 3 NEBOSH National General Certificate with working experience of applying the practices
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to influence at all levels both internally and externally
  • Experience working under or managing an effective SHEQ management system
  • You have a keen willingness to self-develop but also support, motivate, and inspire others to learn and develop
  • If you have either a Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety or Level 2 Assessor Competence qualification that would be an advantage, however we’d like somebody with a willingness to learn and work towards these
  • You demonstrate the highest level of safety ownership and lead the way in driving a safety-first culture
  • And lastly, you use an analytical mindset to solve problems with a passion for driving pro-active improvements
