Inspire the next generation of scientists in a vibrant and supportive Birmingham secondary school. We’re working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated school seeking a passionate Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, including triple science. This is a long-term opportunity starting in June 2025—perfect for a qualified teacher or an ECT looking to build classroom experience in a well-run department.

The Role
You’ll join a high-performing Science department with a strong curriculum and a clear focus on student outcomes. You'll be expected to deliver well-planned lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stage 3 and 4, with a particular emphasis on triple science at KS4. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues and excellent resources, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular science activities.

The Candidate
You’ll be a qualified teacher (QTS or ECT) with a specialism in any science discipline and confidence teaching across all three. You must have excellent classroom management, the ability to differentiate effectively, and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students. ECTs are welcome to apply and will be well supported in their professional development.

This is a well-respected secondary school in Birmingham with a consistent record of good results. Leadership is strong, and staff turnover is low. Behaviour is well managed, and students are motivated and respectful. The school places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, enrichment, and staff well being.
