Job description

Perform security testing of hardware and software components that make up modern IT and telecoms networks.
Our client, a leading organisation in the technology sector, is currently seeking a Senior Pen Tester to join their team. This permanent position involves working with cutting-edge telecoms and IT networks, ensuring the security and integrity of hardware and software components.


Key Responsibilities:

Perform security testing of hardware and software components within IT and telecoms networks


Conduct both positive and negative testing, as well as fuzzing of complex network functions and protocols
Develop and implement new security testing capabilities and techniques
Analyse and communicate findings, weaknesses, and results from testing activities
Deliver comprehensive and high-quality technical reports, outlining the technical risks and impact of identified vulnerabilities
Collaborate with a vibrant and inclusive team of security evaluation specialists
Develop scripts and tools for automated assessment of components

Job Requirements:

Experience in application security, telecoms, and cyber security


Knowledge of telecoms network protocols like Diameter, HTTP/2, SCTP, NGAP, or similar, with a willingness to learn new protocols
Proficiency in developing test tooling and automated assessment scripts
Strong analytical skills to identify and communicate findings effectively
Experience in designing and implementing security testing techniques
Excellent report writing and presentation skills, especially in technical risk assessment
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest in cyber security and telecoms technologies
