We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to lead our team within the dynamic SACT day unit at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. If you enjoy a challenge and are ready to take on a leadership role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.


Our day unit, equipped with 20 treatment chairs, operates from 08:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday, providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies to adult patients.


In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job

The Nurse Team Leader will be responsible for delivering a high standard of specialist nursing care to all patients within MVCC. Able to coordinate the overall management of the Unit.


The post holder will facilitate the education and support of qualified and unqualified staff and participating in the development of nursing practice in the clinical area.


You will be working independently/autonomously without direct supervision, accountable for own professional actions.


The successful candidate will also take an active role in deputising and supporting the Unit Sister.
