Working with the relevant Lead Engineer, The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, procedures and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment, working to set timelines.
 

What you’ll do:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Plan, co-ordinate and implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and completed machines. Co-ordination of Production, Engineering and Quality Assurance Departments to establish/implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues. Implementing best practice standard work onto shop floor Build/Drawing pack creation & maintenance in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders & New Product Development. Liaise with cross functional departments e.g. supply chain, engineering, quality Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including Line Balance, 5S, Poke Yoke Ensure current processes and all new processes encompass safe working practices Production support to the Manufacturing Department Problem Solving

What you’ll bring:

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on job experience. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous Competent in use of Microsoft packages Experience of 3D modelling software would be advantageous Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Knowledge of Machine Shop and Fabrication would be advantageous Excellent multi-tasking & attention to detail skills Ability to work under pressure Good organisational skills Logical & Methodical approach to problem solving Ability to work with others to meet deadlines
