Driver Hire Leeds West are currently looking to recruit a number of HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our expanding team working for our growing roster of clients within the Leeds Area.

Our customers are varied – you could be working for Builders Merchants, doing General Haulage, or Multi-Drop delivery to stores – there is a real variety of work available.


We are looking for drivers with experience who would be happy to work on either a full-time, part time or ad-hoc basis. However, reliability is paramount. We often find ourselves having to cover shifts at the last minute, so a degree of flexibility is asked of all our drivers for us to be able to cover all our available shifts. Therefore, you must be able to communicate clearly with our consultants regarding your availability for work. It’s imperative we know who is available and when in case a last-minute shift becomes available.


Our Payrates start at £15.69 for Class 2 work with your Holiday Pay upfront; however, more can be earned with overtime weekends rates exceeding £18.94. We operate our own payroll too, with weekly payments and never any charges for producing your payslip!


We encourage applications from drivers who have experience using HIAB and Moffett with the relevant tickets.


We work with some great companies in the area, and we believe our service is vital to supporting them, and that’s where you come in. We look out for our drivers by checking in with them on a regular basis, helping them find the right companies for them and making them feel like members of our family.


As part of working for Driver Hire, our drivers can earn as much or as little as they want, depending on the number of assignments they work. You can work a full week, a couple of days, or just weekends if you want – it’s completely up to you!


Basic Requirements of the Role

Class 2 Driving Experience


Fully up-to-date licences
A Full CPC Card
Safety Boots and Hi-Vis
Flexibility / Communication and Honesty
No more than 6 points on your licence and for minor offences only – we do not accept any Drink or Drug endorsements or T99 endorsements
