We have an exciting opportunity for a Bloomfields Manager to join our team. This is a key leadership role, overseeing our Crop Storage department and ensuring the successful installation, servicing and maintenance of grain storage and drying equipment. You’ll be managing a team of engineers, delivering projects efficiently, building strong customer relationships and driving the continued growth of the department.

This role is ideal for someone with strong agricultural engineering experience, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to balance technical expertise with customer service and commercial awareness.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and managing the Crop Storage team to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Planning and overseeing the installation and commissioning of new crop storage plants. Ensuring timely and high-quality servicing and maintenance of grain storage systems.

  • Overseeing fabrication, repairs and reconditioning of handling and drying equipment.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, acting as their main point of contact. Managing supplier relationships to secure quality materials and equipment. Promoting the services of the Crop Storage department to generate new business.

  • Supporting recruitment, training and development of engineers and technicians.

  • Monitoring departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.

  • Tracking project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Overseeing the preparation and submission of customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely billing in coordination with the finance team.

  • Maintaining compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies and industry standards.

​About you:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in agricultural engineering, crop storage equipment or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Experience in managing projects, budgets and customer relationships.

  • Knowledge of building, construction and fabrication processes.

  • A valid driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in business development or sales within the agricultural sector.

  • Familiarity with diesel and gas-burning drying equipment.
