The Cybersecurity Threat Analyst Manager works in the KnowBe4 Threat Research Lab, and is responsible for the running of different lab teams. They are tasked with leading and enabling the teams in order to create solutions and models to detect threats in KnowBe4’s target markets and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of security analysts, data scientists, and software engineers
  • Develop and implement code-based solutions to respond to emerging security threats
  • Design and oversee the development of automated threat detection systems
  • Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to identify patterns and anomalies in security data
  • Create and maintain threat intelligence platforms and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance organizational security posture
  • Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and security technologies
  • Act as a hiring manager when required to expand the capabilities of the team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent plus 5 years experience
  • MS or equivalent plus 4 years experienc
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and/or data science, with management experience
  • Proven experience writing code for security applications (Python, C#, or similar languages
  • Strong background in machine learning and data science applications for security
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data modeling technique
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering security projects
