Role Purpose

Our global team is formed of Data, Analytics, Technology and Delivery resources. Our GBM Data Analytics Platform is the largest aggregation of data ever. We have over 300 sources and a rapidly growing book of work. We are utilising the latest technologies to solve business problems and deliver value and truly unique insights. The Delivery Pod lead will lead a team of data, analytics, technology and delivery resources on a broad range of data and analytics use cases. Delivery is end-to-end; from understanding the problem, designing a solution, assisting data engineers in acquiring and processing the data, ensuring the right models are built and tested, and finally overseeing the deployment into production. We need people with experience spanning technology, data, analytics and delivery who can lead multi-disciplinary global teams to deliver solutions to the business.

Role Overview:

This change-the-bank (CTB) role requires a strong self-starter with strong change delivery skills who enjoys the challenge of delivering change within tight deadlines Structured and organised leader with strong project management, data and business analysis skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

A good understanding of the control requirement surrounding data handling will be advantageous in this role Assess the operational risks as part of the analysis and implementation planning and execution in conjunction with business heads

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)

Maintains client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Essential experience required:

Experience leading multi-disciplined teams of data, analytics, technology and delivery resources to deliver data and analytics solutions Experience in agile project methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Ability to articulate or translate complex information through clear and meaningful written and spoken communication in a structured way. Ability to develop working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, from C-suite to technical resources, balancing competing priorities Proven skills to lead teams and motivate others to achieve objectives. Knowledge of and experience using data models and data dictionaries in a Banking and Financial Markets context. Knowledge of Trade Finance or Securities Services particularly useful. Knowledge of one or more of the following domains (including market data vendors):

o Party/Client

o Trade

o Settlements

o Payments

o Instrument and pricing

o Market and/or Credit Risk

Preferable knowledge and experience in Data Quality & Governance. Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-programme environment across a range of stakeholders

Ideally Have:

Relevant Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master, SAFe, LeSS, DAD. Working experience within investment banking Understanding of different analyses options and development of implementable solutions. Highly adaptable and ability to approach things differently in order to achieve goals. Experience of big data and/or cloud programmes preferable

Customers / Stakeholders:

All GBM Lines of Business and CMB GBM, CMB and Group CDO Global and Regional Heads of business Distribution Platforms IT Internal clients to facilitate effective data analysis/migration and process change and ensure expectations are effectively managed

Leadership & Teamwork:

Lead and work closely with all teams (including virtual teams based in non-UK locations), creating a strong culture of transparency and collaboration

Operational Effectiveness & Control

Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with client and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report concerns or observations in terms of control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational risk impact. Ensure all due diligence is performed to prevent adverse impact to Payments FX customers and business operations Maintain RAID log for allocated projects, and ensure that these are fed into the programme effectively
