Job Title: CAD Technician
Location: Islington / Hybrid
Reports to: Property Director
Salary: £35,000–£40,000

We’re embarking on an exciting journey of refurbishment and expansion, and we’re looking for a talented CAD Technician to support our growth. This is a delivery-focused role where your technical drawing expertise will directly impact the design and development of our restaurant estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and update detailed CAD drawings for restaurant layouts, refurbishments, and new acquisitions
  • Translate site surveys, architectural plans, and design briefs into clear technical documentation
  • Support the Property team with drawing packs for planning applications, landlord approvals, and contractor use
  • Maintain drawing standards and ensure consistency across all site documentation
  • Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Track drawing revisions and maintain accurate records for each site
  • Provide technical input during site feasibility reviews and layout planning

Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software
  • Experience producing technical drawings for retail, hospitality, or commercial environments
  • Strong understanding of building layouts, M&E coordination, and fit-out requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Familiarity with UK building regulations and planning processes is a plus

  • Drawing Accuracy: <2% revision rate due to technical inaccuracies
  • Turnaround Time: Timely delivery of drawing packs for refurbishments and acquisitions
  • Drawing Consistency: 100% compliance with internal standards
  • Project Support: Accurate technical input for feasibility and layout planning
  • Revision Tracking: Clear version control and audit trail for each site
  • Planning Pack Completion: No omissions in planning and landlord documentation
