What you will enjoy doing

  • You will lead a team of Bulk drivers across a defined area, driving performance and accountability.
  • Your focus is on meeting KSIs, controlling costs, and ensuring full safety compliance.
  • You’ll manage service levels, review results with the Regional Transport Manager, and take action when needed.
  • You are responsible for budget control, identifying variances, and reporting weekly/monthly performance.
  • You’ll develop smarter resource plans to cut costs and boost efficiency.
    Legal compliance is key—you’ll oversee vehicle maintenance and driver controls to meet license requirements.
  • You will drive safety improvements and ensure all drivers are trained and competent.
  • You’ll lead recruitment, training, and disciplinary processes, while managing performance reviews and development goals.
    Underperformance? You’ll tackle it with clear improvement plans.
  • You’ll keep communication flowing through monthly briefings and team updates.
  • You’ll monitor fuel use, kilometres, and maintain driver league tables to encourage healthy competition.
  • Delivery failures? You’ll investigate and fix them fast.
  • You’ll run daily debriefs, input hours into SAP, and issue weekly shift plans.
  • You’ll manage absence records, resource gaps, and delivery note allocation.
  • You’ll maintain the significant events log, complete DPDR interviews, and lead monthly driver meetings.
  • Lastly, you’ll ensure SHEQ records are accurate and up to date.

What makes you great

  • You will hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management — or be ready to train for it, as this is essential to the role.
  • You’ll bring or be willing to gain an ADR license; it’s desirable and training support is available.
  • You will ideally hold a NEBOSH qualification to strengthen your safety leadership, though it’s not mandatory.
  • You’ll demonstrate strong working knowledge of distribution and transport operations, with the confidence to lead in a fast-paced environment.
