We are looking for a Broker Relationship Manager, based in London.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting directly to the Head of Distribution London, you will be responsible for growing the Allianz Commercial portfolio through your assigned panel of brokers. Through owning strategic planning, relationship management and pipeline disciplines you will facilitate growth in the global corporate and specialty insurance sector across multiple product lines. You will be the focal point for insights into your brokers and the wider London market and provide communication on Allianz Commercial’s risk appetite and offering to our broking partners.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Set the strategic direction of Allianz’s trading relationships with our Global broker partners - proactively managing and strengthen the business relationship with our key partners.

  • Schedule and participate in regular development meetings and capability pitches in order to actively managing the pipeline of renewals and new business prospects, contact mapping, contributing towards the planning and hosting of broker hospitality events, evidenced in SFDC (Sales Force Digital Commerce).
  • Facilitate broker’s understanding of Allianz Commercial’s underwriting appetites and capabilities within Global Corporate and Specialty.
  • Drive broker relationship mapping to increase our profile and promote Allianz Commercial as the preferred insurer amongst key broker partners.

  • Successfully increase Allianz’s "Share of Global Broker Wallet", meeting New/Upsell and Cross Sell targets as per local sales plan for global brokers.

  • Achieve retention ratio as per global broker sales plan for your allocated brokers.

  • Achieve Client Service Model targets for broker managed accounts by being the accountable partner for external delivery.

  • Proactively engage in dialogue with brokers to identify and deliver Upsell and Cross Sell opportunities.

  • Effective pipeline management (renewals and new business prospects).

  • Monitor and control local adherence to commission tables.

  • Improve submission and quote ratio of agreed broker managed target list.

  • Regular update of broker accounts, bottom-up planning of broker accounts, local implementation of broker segmentation.

  • Through regular dialogue with designated Lines Of Business, manage relationship with internal Lines of Business to enhance Allianz’s offering to key broking partners and support other Distribution initiatives.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Experience in fostering long-term, profitable relationships in broker and/or client organisations within the London and/or Global insurance markets.

  • Successful track record of prospecting and winning new clients in the industrial/specialty insurance segment, as well as experience with International Program Business.

  • Proven track record of Underwriting or Development role in industrial/specialty insurance business. Robust knowledge in various Lines of Business.

  • Experience in delivering in an analytical role (sales environment, controlling roles or similar).

  • Ability to implement tools and methodologies to develop market, competitor, and client insight.

  • Ability to define segmentation and client differentiation strategies; and be able to define clear value proposition.

  • Ability to articulate businesses on the Allianz Commercial multi-line offering and benefits.

  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to influence others without authority.

  • Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals.

  • Ability to work in an international matrix organization.
