The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with expertise in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications. As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software products throughout the development lifecycle.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Conduct regular security assessments and threat modeling on web and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to remediate security issues identified during assessments
  • Implement and maintain security tools and processes to safeguard applications against cyber threats
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices
  • Provide guidance and training to developers on secure coding practices and application security principles
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural design discussions to ensure security is built into our applications from the ground up
  • Respond to security incidents and conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in application security, software development, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of web application security principles, such as OWASP Top 10
  • Hands-on experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as static analysis, dynamic analysis, and manual code review
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation in addition to stock options.
