7.5T Driver Wanted – Beds, Mattresses & More (Part of a 2-person Crew)

Location: Clayton le Moors

Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays)

Pay: Competitive + holiday pay + pension

About the Role

Think you’re strong enough to lift a king-size mattress without breaking a sweat? (Don’t worry, you’ll have a partner-in-crime to help.)

We’re looking for a 7.5t Driver to join our 2-person crew, delivering beds, mattresses, and flat-pack furniture straight into customers’ homes. It’s not just about driving—it’s about being the face of the business, building great relationships, and showing customers their brand-new bed is in safe hands.

This is a role that blends driving skills with serious lifting and a good dose of customer service charm.

What You’ll Be Doing

Driving a 7.5t vehicle with CPC & Digi Tacho card

Delivering beds, mattresses & furniture across the region (with a mate to help)
Manoeuvring bulky items into homes (think doorways, staircases, and narrow halls—Tetris skills welcome)
Giving customers a friendly, professional experience from start to finish

What We’re Looking For

A valid C1 licence (7.5t) with CPC & Digi Tacho

A decent level of fitness (because those beds won’t move themselves)
A solid work ethic and reliability—showing up matters
Excellent customer service skills—smiles and manners go a long way
A sense of humour helps (mattresses are heavy, laughter makes them lighter)

What’s in it for You?

Competitive pay (because we know you work hard)

Regular shifts and ongoing work
Team-based role—no lone wolf deliveries
Supportive management who don’t just see you as a number
The satisfaction of helping people get the best night’s sleep

Ready to Join the Crew?

If you’re a 7.5t driver who’s not afraid of a bit of lifting (and maybe the odd game of “will it fit through the door?”), we want to hear from you.

Why Cyber Security Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Cyber security used to be viewed primarily as a technical discipline: firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, penetration testing. In the UK today, it’s far broader. Organisations now face complex legal frameworks, ethical dilemmas, human-behaviour risks, communication challenges & usability hurdles. This shift means cyber security careers are becoming more multidisciplinary. From protecting NHS patient records to defending financial services, securing supply chains & safeguarding national infrastructure, cyber security now touches every sector. Employers increasingly want professionals who understand law, ethics, psychology, linguistics & design alongside traditional technical skills. In this article, we’ll explore why UK cyber security careers are expanding in this way, how these five disciplines shape the profession, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to thrive in this new landscape.

Cyber Security Team Structures Explained: Who Does What in a Modern Cyber Security Department

Cyber security has become a top priority for UK organisations of all sizes. From small businesses to financial institutions, healthcare providers, and government bodies, the risk of cyber attack is now a constant concern. Threats are more sophisticated, regulations more demanding, and customers more aware of data privacy than ever before. But defending against cyber threats isn’t simply about having the right tools — it’s about having the right team. A modern cyber security department relies on clearly defined roles and responsibilities to ensure that defences are proactive, incidents are managed swiftly, and compliance is maintained. This article explains the structure of a modern cyber security team, the roles you’ll typically find within it, how they collaborate, and what skills, qualifications, and salaries are expected in the UK job market.
