Network Designer - Aruba & Cisco (Hybrid, UK Wide)

High Level Overview - Please read carefully before applying

Opportunity to join a team delivering large-scale enterprise network transformations, with a strong focus on Aruba (ClearPass, Central, WLAN) alongside Cisco environments. This is a hands-on design role where you'll own solutions end-to-end, from HLD through to delivery.

If this aligns with your background, call Lorenz at Hays ASAP. My full contact details are available on my LinkedIn profile.

Locations: London, Manchester, Bristol or NewcastleWorking pattern: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Unfortunately, there are no visa sponsorship options available for this position

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and delivering enterprise network, wireless and security solutions across multi-vendor environments
  • Taking solutions from high-level design (HLD) through to detailed low-level design (LLD)
  • Leading technical delivery across network refresh, SD-WAN and transformation programmes
  • Working directly with customers to translate business and technical requirements into scalable designs
  • Supporting implementation, testing and handover into operational teams
  • Collaborating with pre-sales, project management and support teams to ensure successful delivery

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience in enterprise network design and delivery
  • Hands-on expertise with Aruba technologies (ClearPass, Aruba Central, WLAN, switching)
  • Good knowledge of Cisco networking across LAN, WAN, wireless and SD-WAN
  • Proven experience producing HLD and LLD documentation
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience delivering network transformation or refresh programmes
  • Exposure to SD-WAN, SDA or cloud networking
  • Multi-vendor experience (Fortinet, Juniper, etc.)
  • Experience in large or regulated enterprise environments

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering real-world solutions rather than pure architecture, giving you full ownership from design through to successful implementation.

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cyber security jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach offensive, defensive and GRC security talent. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
